Global Climate and Health Survey
The Global Climate and Health Survey aims to identify climate-related health priorities in the most climate-vulnerable regions in the world. Despite contributing the least to the climate crisis, low- and middle-income countries are disproportionally impacted and the most vulnerable to its effects.
Members of the local health communities are closest to the challenges and best placed to describe the most pressing and evolving health threats exacerbated by the climate crisis challenges as well as the critical barriers that must be overcome.
Health workers, scientists, innovators, policymakers, and humanitarian workers in low- and middle-income countries are at the frontlines of this crisis. Local insights are critical in identifying the needs and priorities to be addressed.
The results of this survey will be shared globally and publicly as a public good document, which can be used to inform funding, research, and even policy. It will also directly inform a new climate and health funding program being led by Grand Challenges Canada, Science for Africa Foundation, and the Grand Challenges Network.

Engaging the health community
Health workers, researchers, innovators, policymakers have an important perspective of the current health challenges.

Amplifying local voices
This survey aims to reach those closest to the challenges to identify the climate-related health priorities.

Informing the future
The results will guide future funding efforts to adapt to climate-related health challenges and can also inform future research and policy.
The climate crisis is one of the greatest global health threats facing our world. Global collaboration is essential in meeting the challenges ahead. Join us in sharing the survey as part of this important global effort!
About the Global Climate and Health Survey partners:
Grand Challenges Canada is dedicated to supporting Bold Ideas with Big Impact®. Grand Challenges Canada (in partnership with the Government of Canada), Science for Africa Foundation, and the Global Grand Challenges Network are health innovation platforms that fund innovators in low- and middle-income countries to address critical barriers through the grand challenge model. In the context of health, a grand challenge is defined as a critical barrier, that, if removed, would help solve an important global health problem. The Geneva Learning Foundation (TGLF) leads a peer learning platform (Teach to Reach) and a large global network of health workers from over 90+ countries. TGLF led the development of the global climate and health survey.
